you need to work on absolutely everything.
slanted horizons, off focus, underexposure, boring subjects, wrong dof point.

theres gonna be like two of these a day from now on.

"[_____'s] photography thread?"

liek tom said you have to work on everything... what is even the point of number 4 and 10? why is 8 so noisy? also people get a new camera and they think that shooting in a large aperture leaving something unfocused makes a picture really good, it doesnt. dont go around your house/neighborhood randomly taking pictures. well actually do that, but dont think theyre interesting because tbh theyre not at all. unless youre trying to get soemthing out of focus to acheive an effect shoot at a smaller aperture, like f/9 or f/11. and im not sure if you did or not but compose a shot before you take it, both 1 and 2 are crooked, but it was a cool concept.

the only one i really like is 9. use the rule of thirds like that, and 5 probably wouldve been better.

I really think that people should stop making Photography threads unless they are serious about it... The fact you have a camera doesn't mean you NEED a thread, or are good at photography.
I admit, everyone must start somewhere, but we don't want to see the start, if you want some help post in the Critique me thread, get some basic critique, learn from it, then start making a thread once you progress.

No one likes seeing boring photos around your house, because everyone has a house, and most of the contents around it... Go and shoot in the neighbourhood, stuff people haven't seen before, then people may take an interest.

I just started this thread because i thought it would help me learn about photograpy, or tips from people. Yes you can complain or whatever, just wasn't expecting that. i just started ofcource i'm not going to no what to do, yeah i agree with you there are to many of "[_____'s] photography thread" but i did it anyway, sorry.

Guys relax, John's chill as shit. He just got this camera like today so give him a break. He's gotta start taking alot of pictures before he gets the basics down, trust me you will see good pictures from him in the near future. And you have to admit you've all posted shitty pictures when you started, hell, 60% of mine i've post a while ago were shit. Relax and just watch for some good shit from John.

He's just learning the anatomy of the camera too so he'll get the exposure and horizons fixed soon.

We acknowledged that..
But everyone on SR thinks that they need a photography thread because they have a camera.
I wouldn't have one, but photography is actually my profession now..
Once he is better, after he has learned about how to use the camera to the best of his ability THEN he should start to post them, until then, the Critique thread would be better.
