the thing that has threads on it that connects to my gs320 keeps falling off. ive glued it on with different types of glue multiple times, and it worked pretty well when i had my kenko. but i just got a raynox and some spacers so the wieght of the lens connected to the threads has increased dramatically, so i go out to film two days ago and bam the lens falls off almost instantaneously. i glued it again that night and tried again yesterday morning. same thing so i repeated the process. it fell off again. so the camera is pretty much busted. or i cant use the fish thats for sure.

so im looking for a new camera. i want something a little bit nicer than my gs320, in the like $600 range i guess. lower if possble. maybe something hd? i dont know. anyone(mainly brian boston or connor) have any suggestions?

thanks in advance

yep the cam still works perfectly parker, youre not gonna be able to use any on camera lense if thats alright. how much would you buy it for...? i got mine for $400

yeah i was thinking about the hv20 cause ive heard real good stuff about them

edit... the hv20 is a 1 chip? even though i was watching vids on youtube from an hv20 and it looked as good as my gs, maybe even better colors...... would that be like its 24p recording mode?

erik that happened to me i just layed on the shoe goo like i put so dam much on it and its so solid now you can actually take that part off easy on all of them
id recommend a hv 20

it would be nice if you could show pictures but im sure its fixable, shoe goo or jb weld would probably work, i would recommend getting like a step up ring to the thread size so your not using the stock plastic or whatever it is it would probably stay on better

but if you want to buy something new in the 600ish range the only thing i would say is hv20/30 but i would stick with the gs320 but hv20/30 can do 24p and stuff, hd footage etc.

john i know its fixable, but im not exactly the best with fixing shit. especially when its around the lens of a camera, the best i could do was glue it. i want a new cam anyways

im pretty sure you dont need that outer ring (if thats what your talking about), i think there are threads behind it that you can screw the lens to. im not sure tho.

Just extra glue it on erik, or tape your lense on. I dont see the point in a new camera when a gs320 is really good just because the lense threads have come off. Mine did it a while back and i just glued mine on n they stayed with my kenko.

if u have a gs 320 u do not need that thing if it is a 37 mm lens

get a different/better kind of glue. take it to a big hardware store and they should be able to help.
