I don't mess around with drifting anymore, fwd drift with my car and i ended up snapping the ebrake cable, just got that fixed yesterday, blows.
Oxymoron.

Your car is FWD? Then you didn't do a drift Brian. That's called powersliding. A drift is when the rear slip angle of the car is greater than the front slip angle. To achieve this sort of angle and hold it you need the power to be going to the rear wheels via the drivetrain. A FWD car uses the transmission to put power to the front wheels and while FWD IMO is more awesome the RWD (if anyone wants to debate this I'd be happy to although AWD owns all) you cannot drift a car with it. You can pull the e-brake and lock up the rear but that is not a drift because you cannot add power to the rear to keep it balance. You can only slide the tires and slow them down.

Drifting looks cool but it's dumb as shit. You just waste your grip and you go slower around the corner. It will never be faster then gripping the corner.

Your getting wayyy to technical haha. Most people would recognize it as a drift. I just go slow in reverse, pop it in drive, floor it when the gear catches and get the tires spinning then whip it and yank the ebrake up, gets you sliding pretty good. I agree though its a waste and probably no good for your car.

Ouch dude, I've heard of neutral drops but reverse drops sound even worse. It is super fun to pull the e-brake and bust some slides when it's raining, but yeah, doesn't really count.

Neutral drop makes my car sound like its gonna blow up, ive only done that once by accident at a long ass red light. When i drop it from reverse you just let the car roll back, dont give it gas and hit it into drive and when you like feel it catch then hit the gas, i dont think its half as bad for your car as a neutral drop.

If you don't want to replace your transmission in 2 years I wouldn't do either.
