Your eyes are only on USA. That's why you don't notice people from outside US.

For example: Kazaa and Skype were programmed by a group of estonians and founded by one of the estonians Jaanus Kriis and by one dutch person which name i can't recall. You can read more from Wikipedia.

And last time i wasn't talking that americans might be more stupid than the legs of a chair. I was talking about their beleife (sp?) on things that they see on TV, advertisments and gossip.

actually my eyes really aren't on the usa. i get most of my news from the bbc, i really hate american media since i never know if theyre lying or not. im not saying america is god, just that the rest of the world saying we suck is totally unwarranted.

i also dont know why you think americans believe everything they see on tv. youre a smart kid, so im sure you know that movies and the mass media is not a credible source of information, so i dont know where besides that youd get the idea that we all believe everything we see on tv.

They arent allowed to advertise cigarettes on TV because of how bad they are for you, if alcohol advertisements are allowed on TV then weed would probably be allowed as well.
Weed is almost as bad, if not worse than smoking weed for you lungs. Smoking blunts is so bad for your lungs, you get tobacco and weed both at once.

I think I understand what you are trying to say but could you rephrase that?

And just so nobody gets the wrong idea, I do not care if people do drugs.

drugs are bad mmmk?

had to.

Almost everyone in my town does drugs. I personally will never do them for many reasons. But legalizing them would cause mass kaos. Too many people running around stoned and trippin would be very BAD. Like Madis said bad ideas would be brought up because people wouldn't know what there talking about. Also just imagine a guy on heroin behind the wheel of a car? Death Rates would go up by ALOT. Like it just wouldn't work i dont think. The world as we know it would end if drugs were to legalized.

FUCK DRUGS!
What your missing... people are already driving on heroin behind the wheel. If drugs were legal, im 100% positive there will still be laws where you can not drive under the influence, like alcohol. People are already running around stoned and tripping, legalizing drugs would just make drugs less shady to buy. More people will be willing to try them if they were legal but everyone already knows where to get them in their town. Less people will be getting shot over drug related crimes, cops won't have to deal with anybody selling on corners and shit, it would be so much better.

And from my point of view... weed should be legal already, coke should be legal (seriously when do you hear on the news that a car accident happened because someone was coked up?) oxy cotin (not the chemical oxycodone) needs to be banned from this country, and some prescription drugs need to be over the counter (adderal, xanax, percoset, vicoden, valium). But driving should be illegal while on any of those meds.
i personally don't think that less people would get shot it would either be more or the same. and if more people are willing to try don't you think they might get addicted? and if more people are addicted legalizing it would be completely pointless

ive never tried any type of drug just because i dont feel the need to artificially enhance my mood. but as ive been informed, natural drugs are much safer than anything created in a lab. if drugs were legalized there would still be laws against when and where you can use them. also the companies that produce them would be able to refine them making them safer.

Marijuana Has Many Uses

Marijuana has been frowned upon by society and there has become a major fight to stop production and distribution in the United States. Many people have bias opinions against marijuana as being a terrible drug.
There are many uses of marijuana most people are uneducated about. Many patients could benefit greatly by repealing the prohibition of marijuana. Hemp, the term used when referring to marijuana for industrial use, is a very valuable resource. With many recreational drugs killing people, marijuana has never been the cause of a death. Marijuana should be legalized in the United States for its medical, personal, and industrial use.

Positive medical marijuana uses have been documented and reported. In some states marijuana has been legalized for medical purposes (Hashish). Marijuana prohibition applies to everyone, including the sick and dying (Medical). Marijuana is used to aid in pain relief (particularly pain from nerve damage), nausea, glaucoma, and movement disorders. There are more then 60 organizations that support the immediate legal access of medical marijuana under the supervision of a physician (Medical).

The safest recreational substance, proven statistically, is marijuana (Herer). Several states have decriminalized the private possession and use of marijuana by adults, including cultivation for personal use, and casual nonprofit transfers of small amounts (Personal). This policy removes the consumer from the criminal justice system while maintaining criminal penalties for those who traffic or distribute large quantities of the drug. Marijuana is far less dangerous then alcohol (50,000 people die a year from alcohol poisoning) and tobacco (more then 400,000 deaths are attributed to tobacco smoking) (Personal). The LD-50 (the rate of 50% of test animals have died at) is estimated to be about 1:20,000 to 1:40,000. This means one would need to consume nearly 1,500 pounds of marijuana in a fifteen minute time period to induce a lethal response. There has been test on animals to determine marijuanaÃ?Æ?Ã?â??Ã?â??Ã?¢Ã?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?¡Ã?â??Ã?¬Ã?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?¾Ã?â??Ã?¢s LD-50 on animals but had been unsuccessful (Herer).

There are many industrial uses for hemp such as biofuels, food, plastics, body care products, and many fibers (Hemp). Biofuels such as biodiesel and alcohol fuel can be made from the oils in hemp seeds and stalks. Hemp seeds are comparable to sunflower seeds and can also be used for baking like sesame seeds. Food products range from cereals to frozen waffles. Hemp plastic is a new technology based on 20%-100% hemp fibre based plastics that can be molded or injection molded. In the manufacturing of body care products hemp oil is increasingly being used. Hemp is a popular fiber because it is strong and grows quickly (Hemp).

Medical, personal, and industrial use of marijuana should be legalized in the United States. The prohibition to stop the cultivation and use of marijuana should be repealed. Everybody would benefit from the legalization of marijuana in one way or another. As a good alternative from fossil fuels, the biofuels that can be created are both renewable and safer to the environment. Open your eyes and see the true value of this substance and you will agree that the prohibition against this drug is nonsense.

I don't know if the drug access is generally as easy as you people say, as Im in a good school and I have no criminal relationships (I was only offered weed by an old classmate at a party once, but that's it). Weed should DEFINITELY be legalized. I guess that legalizing psychedelic stuff would also be ok. As for hard drugs, I don't think that the society would be ready for them to be legalized. Kids need to be taught at schools about positive and negative aspects of drug use, which I don't see happening really soon (unless in Netherlands, where it's probably done anyway).

All of you people saying, "Omg all these people high at the same time would end the world, they would just go out and rape and murder and all this crap" That is the stupidest thing i've ever heard, of course there would be laws like no driving while high, but just because they're legal doesn't mean THAT many more people will do them, hell if people really wanna do them, they could go out right now and buy whatever they wanted within 30 minutes, so yeah.
there already are laws that say no driving when under the influence of drugs. there are also laws that say no driving under the influence of alcohol and guess what people still do it and thousands of people die from it. and what makes you think weed would be different than alcohol if weed was legal?

i think it all depends on the environment. as a college student, i can easily get my hands on alcohol, weed, psychedelics, and probably coke if i wanted too. being in philly, im sure i could find heroine or meth if i wanted too.

but when im home, i have no clue how i would even go about getting any drug at all, even weed, so it all depends on where you are.

haha i was just about to post that

i dont know how accurate that is though. it doesnt say what they define as "harm" or how they got the statistics, so its a little vague.

lsd is on that list, and i'm not really sure why. it causes no lasting physical effects on the body, and the temporary ones are only elevated heart rate and maybe nausea, so unless they took into a account psychological effects, i cant see why its on there.

idk.....i can kinda see good and bad things happening if weed was legalized....so idk where i stand on this debate. and the only thing I have ever done is hooka(sp?), which isnt bad for you at all, its just dried fruit.

As far as i know hookah is flavored tobacco?

correct. its also far worse for you than regular tobacco since you inhale so much, but if you only smoke it occasionally like most people do it shouldnt have any negative effects.

ecstasy is one of the least dangerous drugs? i thought it was like really bad.

1. dare/media lies about drugs.
2. it can be dangerous, but its pretty much only when its cut wrong and mixed with some harmful substance, which is rare. it also causes your heart rate to rise which can cause heart attacks in some people but thats really rare from what i understand.
