dumbass idea. Brakeless on scooters is dumb as soup, and it looks stupid, as can be seen by those pictures. The main reason people ride brakeless on bmx is because it makes your bike look clean and you don't have to worry about unwinding your cables if you do a lot of barspins (but you can just get a detangler for that), and plus it's hella trendy. Brakeless on scooters is just people trying to follow a dumb bmx trend for the sake of following a dumb bmx trend only. There's no point otherwise because unlike on bikes, a brake on a scooter consists of a fender on a spring that you step on, not a bunch of cables and levers that would get in your way. Plus it makes manuals retarded and it looks retarded. Just learn how to ride with the brake, not that hard..

read liltonys post. i hate wearing down wheels. and you can manual breakless if you try, i can. and when you do manual the break wont slow you down, or wear down the wheel. as well as the other reasons in the link.

I already know all the arguments for riding brakeless, I started off doing manuals brakeless because I didn't know how to do them any other way, but then I learned how to use the brake for manuals and trust me it makes manuals so much easier and cleaner. With the brake you can control your speed in a manual if you have to - can't do that riding brakeless, and if you're wearing down your wheels THAT fast, then you should maybe not use the brake to stop yourself (because it's pretty much useless for doing that anyway), and not stomp on it when going into manuals

Im with Dre all the way.

Brakless WITH a fender like that..completely removes any tire tap tricks...Just thinking about the gnarly riders that do tire tap stuff on quarters and stuff...yea..brakless with a fender like that? no thanks. Brakless with no fender/brake...looks ridiculous, but I guess you can still do everything you can do with a brake. Just a bit harder.

Ok, do you have a wheel on the front?
Does it wear down?
Do you have a front brake?
Wow, the miracles of friction pull through once again, thank you science!

Buff made his over a year ago before the TSI deck existed. Not that it matters or anything though.

The only thing that will slow you down when you manual is YOURSELF pushing in YOUR OWN BRAKE! You are the one pushing the brake down, have some self control and learn how to not push the brake in when you manual. Instead of learning how to ride and control your bodies you guys mod your scooters so you can waste more money because your too lazy to learn how to ride properly.

How come 4-8 years it was all about the tricks now its about how much you can mod your scooters to have excuses for your lack of body control and skill?

i ment the fender not break, my bad. Buttttt i CAN manual breakless very well, which is why my break is useless, and i would rather not have one because while going down hills i get tempted to hit the brake to slow myself down.

and yes wheels in the front wear down but not as fast as if you have a break and do alot of manuals.

I am? lol ok then. Whatever you say.

And blaine, Yes i just read through some of my posts. I think i'll stop posting past 12. But i do like a good arguement as long as it doesnt start heading twords " ill fuck you up" and " fuck u cunt". If its a good topic, it should be debated. I somewhat agree with you though.

Back on topic?

Brakless manuals are harder and feel better to whip out of imo.

Well, maybe some people aren't into taps and manuals with brakes. Some people actually do two-footed manuals without a brake, Steezeman for example. I'd say if you want total control as a park flow rider, then you might need a break to adjust your speed before approaching any obstacle. But if you ride street and if you feel you don't need to use a brake on manuals, then get a solid fender. People already do brakeless nosemanuals these days, so you can relearn manuals aswell.
