yeah im spray painting my stock forks. will it screw anything up if i spray paint the stock crown race? what about the threads?

i wouldnt dare spray paint the threads, but I think the crown race is fine. The threads might not be a big deal, but I dont think its good for it. I spray painted my crown race and its been fine

it doesnt really matter if you paint the crown race, as long as its stock. no point in painting the ENTIRE fork up to the threads, you just need the legs.

Whats the difference if you paint the crown race?
Its just holding the bearings in place really, it doesn't make that much difference, mine has been painted forever, haha.

Definately don't spray the crown race, you'd be surprised at how quickly it can ruin your headset(assuming stock aswell, unsealed headsets ruin easy).

I got myself banned.
Personally, i wouldn't paint the crown race. If the paint starts to wear off it will probably get in the bearings and slow shit down.

Who gives a shit about the threads. They almost have no point in being there. When i change bars i just pull up on the bars so the bars slide right over the threads, and push them down when i put the bars back down. None of that screwing nonsense.
