Nah not really. It will work on all computers, just on TVs NTSC won't display right on PAL tvs and vice versa.

I would personally get the NTSC version... because the frame size of PAL is taller (which is higher resolution... which is a good thing) but it probably won't look right to you. The Japenese version is in NTSC too if you can find a better deal on that, but you need to learn the buttons (some come with stickers on them already translated)
