PC is way better, hands down. It does not matter what you do, a PC is the way to go. I have both and everyone in my family hates the mac. We all have ASUS laptops. Macs would be much more powerful, but all the processing power it has is consumed by trying to make the display look "pretty".

Apple as a company is atrocious, but their computers are damn good.

my ppc mac g5 runs extremely fast because it is liquid cool has a radiator in it and it is a modem

For the price of that G5 you can get a way better PC. Or you can get a PC built and run MAC OS on it.

The mac has battery longevity on it.
Thats about it. And I guess it might look better in a starbucks, and the 3 pounds less weight will make biking away on your fixie a bit easier as well.

Its not that its hard to get a virus with a Mac, its just that people dont write virus's for them because all the large mainframes or the computers full of critical information are PC's.

Not to start a huge argument or anything I just find it amusing that almost everyone who chooses PC does so because they believe they have a vast knowledge of computers. This is not everyone just a good majority.

I honestly don't see the point in getting a PC over a Mac for most people other than cost. I've owned both (many different computers of each) and I can honestly say I'm never getting another PC. Macs are much easier to use, they're much more user friendly, they maintain their speed for longer (all of the PC's I've owned got very slow if I didn't load them with tons of anti virus software), they're better for video editing (final cut etc).

Some may need a PC for other reasons but for my usage Mac is perfect.

well it means practically nothing, since once you have to move that computer around to a different room or such a bunch of shit can go wrong, and it doesnt really cool a computer any better than a decent set of fans.

for me really its different opinions for different applications

honestly i'd love a macbook for school, since yes they are lighter it'd be easier on my back (this lenovo is a bitch to lug around) and the os is alot more user friendly to the common man.

but considering i dont have a pc to go home and do shit with such as gaming or anything to the likes, i'll stick with my windows laptop.
