those will be going sideways.. which wont do much, at all.

what about if a strip the same size as the dropout (made from high quality steel) was welded from the droupouts to underneath the deck, would that work?


you cant weld steel to aluminum just take a pro and put steel strips and aluminum dibble reinforcements and make it a tank
 
he broke one deck in half broke the other ones dropouts off. also Haven u can weld steel to aluminium or vise versa but u need a specia welder but there's no point cus they weld together really weak.
 
do the coedie reinforcments with a steel or aluminium 20mmx20mm (3mm thick) angle and then bolt the dropouts with 2 bolts. that should hold up pretty well.

i think that was what i was trying to say with the gusset idea, if i am understanding you right.
