Exactly, I'd prefer to impress riders as opposed to people who know nothing about the sport. I'd much rather get a round of applause for doing a double fingerwhip over a box than doing a flair/flip.

yeah, kids are naive. they'll grow out of the madd trend eventually, but right now its really just too much. the real scene needs to break through the mainstream barrier and take over.

^ agreed. People need to stop riding just for a reputation, sponsors, and demanding respect from anyone that isnt as good as them.
When I first got into riding it was all about having fun and respecting EVERYONE else as a rider, whether they've been riding for 3 days, or 4 years.
