here it is, just try to understand that before posting questions about that brake mod. Enjoyr it really works.
sorry for the size
you can see that there are no horizontal holes anymore inside the deck! :)

wtf lol, that's a great mod you have there :D

Yeah i know pete, it's gonna cost me a lot i guess. That's what prototypes do. And if i'm really gonna let them cut that, them on the last sketch you see that that all the pipes (deck pipes and foldy pipes) are the same size to save money from making diffirent sizes.

Dibble, i know that 2 bolts is a quite small amount, but you know that pro-models are solid with 2 bolts too yeah? The third bolt is for the back of the neck on them and it makes the rails bend together a little so the neck cant slip back, that's why is the third bolt there. Why is Razor models' necks slipping back? Because the front top hole, which is the longest whole (the place where was the foldy quick-release lever), is also too big so the bolt will slip in there. My foldy holes will have the exact size.

That's how the newer deck would look with the whole stuff and 100mm wheels.
I drew a random brake and i gotta admit: IT LOOKS UGLY AS HELL, haha.
And in real life i wouldn't paint the whole scooter to red and black, so the real colors would be black and silver (and red for YAKs)

I own SR.
Lots and lots of unnecessary parts and weight that could be taken off. The designs look good though especially for sketchup.

..., like what?

All the nuts and bolts for starters and just the overall shape of the deck could berefined to cut weight without sacrficing strength.

Nah, i'm looking for one of the easiest and cheapest way to finally produce this deck, so i'm keeping them square and for your information, i won't weld (except between neck and necktube), if you thought that i would replace weldings instead of bolts.

Also i thought i could have just L-profiled pieces instead of the foldy's shorter pipes, but that could snap or bend more easily. So the pipes stay where they are.

Loosing bolts and nuts - they weigh so little though? That's not gonna change it much.

I'm not into flat triples or flat briflips, so i think i could manage with this deck. But for people who like decks that weigh like old-a models, then yea - that design would be a whole lot diffirent.

If you are already gonna have the headtube welded to the neck you might as well just do the whole thing it would only take them 5 more minutes and wouldn't be that much more expensive and would be way stronger then bolts and lighter... even if you don't care about weight.

The biggest thing I would focus on is making the deck out of one tube instead of 2 tubes and a piece of channel.

the 3 bolts for the pro model is incorrect. It has those 3 bolts to connect the neck to the folding mech. If you just had a neck and a folding mech that isnt much of a scooter. You are forgetting that it is welded and has 4 screws from the deck to the folding mech. 2 bolts to replace these 3 bolts, welds, and 4 screws, is not enough.

dude wtf.... you know that the pro-model's foldy welding is really a piece of shit? (Made in China, no wonder) Mine have some cracks in every corner but even the tiny screws are stronger than that shitty welding. Me and my buddy both have the same small cracks in it. That's why i hate almost all those foldys that are connected to the deck. It seems to me that those 4 screws are for ripping that foldy from the deck, pisses me off. That's why my neck's bottom bolt will be put between the bottom long pipes.

And you're missing one point: those 4 screws have diameter 3 or 4mm, by bolts are 8mm diameter. And i don't have only 2 bolts on the side, i have them 4 MORE from on the top connecting the "foldy" pipes to long pipes. That makes it 6, easy maths.

I might not weld that headtube at them. It might not be aluminium too, even though aluminium is softer for headsets (i think that doesn't matter really?).

But i'm thinking about it, consultating. Thanks for the idea.

I could weld those shorter pipes on the deck from front, back, and only one side, because on the side (where the neck is facing) there's no room for welding, then later on when riding it would rip off from the deck. Although NOT when i would weld neck to the deck & foldy too (then it can't be folded ever).

I've beeing focusing too about the 1-tube deck. But my ideas, that i've thought about it earlier, are a bit sketchy, that's why i came up to this design.

I'm not even sure, if it's gonna be better than a pro-model or not. I'm still afraid of those aluminium-weldings too (that they could be weak), so i might make them two - one with welds, the other with bolts - then it would be better to test.

yea do that and then you can't go wrong. See which one is stronger and then make that one
??
Like i said, i might make two decks.
