I know there are like 600000 threads about this, but could i use stainless steel to make some new bars? and would they be strong for a sorta good rider (learning inwards, 540's and shit)

dont make them out of stainless steel. it sucks foor clamping, so your bars would go crooked all the time. just use 4130 chromo

If you're using scs stainless steel is good, but don't use it if your using hic/ics/threaded/ihc or whaterever requires a slit

Dont see why stainless wouldnt work, its not a popular material for commercial scooter bars but has some good properties and might be worth investigating. Try it and let us know how you get on

I had a pair that my friend made for me from plain steel.. As long as you dremel out the top of the down tube and weld it properly, then theyre really strong. You can even make gussets if you want. The only problem is that its heavy as a biotch.
