i have a question.

you said that you only need to buy one 5 inch 5/16 bolt but yet in the final picture it looks as if you have also gotten longer bnolts for the brake and the 2 bolts that are near the foldy. what sizes do i need for those ones?

then how do you get them to stick out past the reinforcements?

first you drill the first hole big enough to fit the head of the bolt in then you drill the second hole big enough so that the thread only go in and the head of the bolt holds the reinforcement down

sorry about bumping this thread but i am about to go and make my reinforcements right now and i still don't really get what you mean. because like using my brake bolt as an example, even if i did like you said how would the bolt be able to stick out past the second layer of reinforcement like in your picture because the bolt just isn't long enough.

you drill so the bolt fits through but not the bolt head, so its held to the deck.

yes i understand that but how do you make the bolt long enough to go all the way through the the two layers of reinforcement like in the very last picture?

just leave your brake on because the brake bolt doesn't hold down the reinforcement so make the holes big enought to fit over the bolt like it wasn't even there.
