in graphic design you dont focus on one thing like that.
i have no chance in hell to do skate graphics. and advertising is a completely different major. and logos are corporate identity which goes alot further than just logos.

but what i would like maybe to work in websites or work for a creative magazine, or product design. but theres no real focus, because you learn all of it.

i would like to point out that ive done a shit load of things for scooters. obv. for free.
but in the NYC good enough graphic designers are a dime a dozen.
but regardless i did things for free all the time, to get better.

i got paid to make a myspace once.

im gonna make the biggest effort to get into cooper union everyone wish me luck, they accept less than 20% of applications.
if i dont get in im going to FIT to save me and my family from massive debt.

me and greg are out of Florida.
start celebrating.

im not entering my second semester here, im going to kingsboro community college for the semester probably.
or im staying, but im not sure yet.

it sucks b/c almost none of my classes transfer to FIT so ill be in school longer, but thats okay with me i guess, more time for me to get better.

i dont just want to be a douche GICer
i wanna be someone, so im gonna go for it as best i can.

not be popular, well yeah, but just be good at what i do.

I wish you luck, it's a competitive area. Do you have to give a portfolio to get into cooper union? I don't know how they do it.

I got real lucky, I scored a bunch of internships through my mom, who is also a graphic designer. bonniemigel.com

Btw, a lot of my stuff is done for free as well. Most of the time, they'll send me some of their product as trade.

oh shit your mom worked at art center.
my friends tried to get in as frshman, and theyre both relly fucking good and couldnt get in.

anyway cooper union changes when youre a transfer.
i have to give them a great portfolio, i have to have good grades, and bee lucky as hell, because even if im what they want ill be rejected.

its free tuition.

i know i wont get in, so im ttrying not to think about it.
