I, as a fan of both, am tired of seeing people hate on eachother because "hardcore isnt metal", or "hardcore is soo much better", or "hardcore is no talent"
NOTHING will ever beat good old school metal imo, but i do like hardcore too.
anyone who says hardcore has no talent needs to listen with an open mind (i will admit, some of the underground bands do blow) but if u complain that the screaming like im BMTH sint talent, then lets see u scream like that for a whole concert.
listen to most of the guitars in hardcore, its influenced by metal. im using BMTH as an example again coz theyre one of the biggest hardcore bands around. some of there stuff has some sick riffs.

hardcore is basically what metal has evolved into. if ur one of those "hardcore kids" and hate on metal u need to jst stfu and realize that without metals influence, ur music wouldnt exist! and "metalheads" listen with an open mind and give them some credit, some of the bands are actually really talentedl; even if u hate the screaming, look past it and listen to the actual music

i know im probly gonna get torn apart for this, but i had to get it out. discuss wat u think

All The bands like BMTH and August Burns Red are metalcore. Meaning they have lead guitar riffs and stuff like metal but they have breakdowns and two steps like hardcore. I personaly like both genres of music. I do not like the old school straight up hardcore like Terror and stuff quite as much but I like pretty much everything else related to the genres. And yeah Hardcore came out of punk more than metal. Props for realising the vocals are really hard to do.

thank you. i think that helps reinforce my point of the similarities, coz that basically put the 2 into 1.
