So i have a mgp nitro and i run scs compression. My fsa mx orbit headset just never seems to stay tight at all. i tighten the compression bolt all the way down into my smx's starnut

Help is Appreciated

You might need a headset spacer. If the fork is too tall then the topcap is hitting the fork making it not able to tighten anymore. That or you could have stripped your starnut. If you stripped the threads from your starnut then it will screw in but not tighten down on the starnut. Go and try putting in a spacer and if that doest work then go to a bike shop and tell them you tried the spacer and that you need a new starnut.

Yeah if you have space between your fork and the top cap in your scs then its prob the starnut. Go and tighten it down as much as you can right now and look through the slit in your scs and if there is space between the top cap and your fork then its most definitly the starnut. Just go get a new one at a bike shop they will charge you like 5 bucks for installation and a new starnut and then youll be set after that.
