Hi guys.

I am going to be buying a threadless system from my MGP Sig.

I was wondering, if i get a SCS (i will be getting scorcher forks) will i have to do any modding to the SCS or forks or anything to get it to fit?
Im guessing i would because the fork tube sticks out higher on the MGP's...

Could someone tell me everything about this please? Im confused......

Cheers

EDITT - A video would be good too.. ;)

You can either cut your forktube to fit, or use multiple headset spacers. I would recommend using the spacers because if you ever have to use the fork on another deck, you would still be able to. It may look ugly, but it will be very practical. Another route to take would to get HIC. You will have to get a taller shim, but ask Mat Thom from TSI if he could custom make you a taller shim(he most likely would because he is legit like that). Good luck.

Ohh k, thanks for the reply guys...

Looks like ill go HIC then.

ANd J, he probably made his own shim or something...

Cheers!

Well, im going to be buying ne bars anyway, I was gonna get the RAD hic, but i spose if i get normal size bars that'll be better...

So, ill get the normal Rads, and then run ICS with 2 starnuts in bars :)

i would still suggest not using scs, ics and hic is cheaper and just as effective and look better on an mgp

I used huge spacers and a headtube extender.
It looks a lot better than regular headset spacers

Quit listening to the haters, SCS is awesome. Just use a bunch of spacers until Madd Gear makes a scooter with a sensible headtube. If you got HIC you'd have to order bars that are a few inches taller to make up for the loss with the minuscule headtube.

Can you believe it? It works.

Don't cut the forks, cause then you won't be able to use them on anything else. As much as what compression you want is opinion, this is solid. Don't cut them.
