I have a Canon Hf10. I put footage on my computer and the files are all .mts files. Whenever I try to play them, the sound works fine but the video plays in slow motion. After googling for hours, the only answer I came to that made sense was that my laptop can't handle HD footage. I converted the clips to .avi and they do the same thing.. With my Panny that never happened. In .wmv they play normal speed, the sound is fine, but then the clips ALL stopped at the same spot and kept skipping. I converted them all to .mpg, and they play the sound/video abnormally fast.. The converter I use is FF2.6. Format Factory. I'm not sure what the problem is, but it's bugging me to NO end. I can't edit or even watch my clips right now. Can someone link me to a decent file converter, or help solve my problem?
