We really need to clamp down on this whole situation and thrust out warnings/bans when needs be because otherwise Muse is gonna get hate everytime she posts in the scooter section.

I'm rather bothered that nobody used the infraction system on HeyHey and JacobMahon and instead immediately banned them both for TWO WEEKS instead of using the infraction system. Heyhey had ONE WARNING and Jacob had a clean slate, not only that but the infraction system is 3 warnings then one week. NOT written warnings then TWO weeks.

I personally hate and cannot stand Muse, her spoiled asshole attitude and the fact that all she does is flaunt her money on here by buying new parts and not even riding them. It's annoying and guess what I guarantee at least one of you guys deep down feel the same way about it.

But I'm fine being the only one of the group here that does hate her if thats the case. I'm not cracking down on anybody hating muse, rather if muse herself steps out of line i will be all over that shit like herpes on a hooker

Rob hop off this already, if it was anyone other than muse, you would have done the same as we did. The point is that joe declared a ban for anyone who carried on with the hate, which is a simple solution, and stops other people doing it. The only reason that you are digging at joes or my own moderating skills is because you would rather muse is banned.

Let's put this situation a little simpler. Joe Vs. Jacob/heyhey, joe has more authority, so what he says goes. If they disobey this order, they suffer the concequences stated (in this case, a 2 week ban) it's no fault of their own.

Edit: tom has the right approach here, we need to stay neutral with these things and ban people for the right reasons.

I think the infraction system is more practical, but whats gonna get kids attention more; giving them warnings for the same shit over and over, or after posting multiple warnings to multiple people in multiple threads just banning them?
I think that in on going situations like this, they deserve to just be band. Rule 1 is respect everyone, and when people gang up on one person, its just fucked up. It might seem out of line but I feel like the bans were justified.

Our job is not only to keep the forums clean and argue-free, but to also give the staff a good reputation and to be a good influence for riders and forum users. How are they supposed to detain from arguing if we can't even do it ourselves?

TomK- I've seen you act pretty harsh towards some members, but not nearly as much lately as you used to. Personally, I think it'd be a little better for everyone if all of us tried to at least be a little nicer or more considerate of others. We're mods; we keep peace. We aren't supposed to be assholes, which some posts have made us look like.

Muse does not break any rules. There's nothing we can do to stop her from what she's doing. People pick on her. We can't do much to stop it except for ban people and use the infraction system which the only way it actually does ANYTHING is if they get several infractions. You once said it yourself, it's much easier to give members small, temporary bans for two to three days/weeks at a time.

And you say we're getting rid of members who are actually contributing to the forums.. Well, the only people I see who are picking on her are the internet/post whores. The group of kids who like to hide behind a computer screen and start shit on forums. I think it'd be better for the forum to get rid of THEM than to get rid of her, who although is quite a target for teasing, does not break any rules.

I remember Nooner saying this before, we can't have opinions and ban people we don't like because of our feelings. We have to ban those who break the rules. Props. You nailed it. I do like the idea of using the infraction system though. We can increase the severity of the infractions and make them stick longer if necessary. It seems like certain people could use more than a slap on the wrist. As for muse... a 21-year old pregnant chick on a scooter forum... WHAT?!

We shouldnt have any exceptions to people depending on how much they ride or how long theyve been on here.
I used to hate coming on here, seeing someone start so much shit but not get banned just because they joined back in 06/07 or some shit. It doesnt matter if they dont ride, if theyre on here theyre part of the community and we have to deal with it.
Lets put this into an IRL perspective. Say your on a sports team, theres a kid who doesnt get to do much, but has nice cleats/shorts/etc. You cant just ignore him, hes still on your team. The most you can do is just ignore him.

Like Joe said, shes annoying but she doesnt really break any rules. Where the people who constanly start shit with her are. Whether theyre an "OG", a new member, a pro, or someone who doesnt even ride scooters, their still breaking the rules and should have the punishments enforced without any exceptions.
