My scooter is a stock ultra pro except for:

-ODI Grips.
-Front wheel Eagle metalcore.

Any advice on what to upgrade next? Fork, headset, bars etc? Thanks in advance.

Why would you put your only metal core on the front? lol. Uh. Get another metal core and some T bars.

If you don't want to go threadless then a cheap good strong threaded fork is a dsa fork.
Then get an fsa pig and use your locknut so it is still a threaded but better quality headest. Also another metalcore.

If you are going to go threadless, which is a good idea, you will have to drop a decent amount of money. At very least you will need a new fork, a new headset, and ICS (bolt, star nut, and cap). If you go the SCS route you will need fork, headset, and SCS clamp. If you go the HIC route you will need for, headset, and bars (which come with the HIC shim). You will need to do that one way or another so I'd say switching to threadless is a good first move.

dsa hd threadless is 55 dollars for a strong threadless fork and compression so you just need a threadless headset to go with it. and also another metal core but fork first in my opinion

Well, for starters you should get
.Another metal core
THEN later on in the future, you should get (i reccomend getting these all at the same time)
.A threadless fork - I reccomend Phoenix Phorx :)
.A threadless headset - I recommend FSA DH Pro or FSA Orbitz if you're willing to spend more for a better product.
.A SCS. - Proto Brass Knuckles SCS.
You can get all of this at once at http://freestyledepot.com
For a good price and fast shipping =]
Good luck!

You guys are jumping ahead of yourselves.

get another metalcore, and a threaded DSA cambo fork. so when you want to go threadless you can just buy a threadless forktube from them.

Seems like a good choice to go threadless. Thanks for all the help. I'm going with HIC over SCS due to the lesser amount of money I need to spend.

To make sure, I need to order bars with slits for HIC, correct?

Yes, slits in bar and they need to be 1 3/8 (oversized) bars. It's really about the same amount of money because you have to get bars for HIC.

Haha, then I guess a plus is a big hunk of metal isn't sticking out on the bars :p

And is there such thing as a HIC clamp? Do I need one?

WAIT you said you were keeping the same bars and with HIC you will need oversized bars which arent rup. i recommend just ride what you have till it breaks as then you save money excep maybe buy a new headset to improve your scooter. hotglue your plastic core. if you do go threadless though get ics if you want cheap compression. some people say to use 2 starnuts

this... if hes just starting out he doesnt need anything.. metal cores and a stronger threaded fork will be more than enough.. he doesnt need to drop 400 dollars on a scooter as soon as he starts

thats wat i did and it worked out in the long run considering i wont hav to pay for a scooter for the rest of my life.

but its his choice, and he already chose HIC. haha

My shopping list so far -

VertX G bars oversized 22x18
HIC kit from inward
Set of 4 reds bearings from inward
V-Max threadless fork
SZ Oversized clamp
FSA Pig Dh Pro

The whole point is to prevent things from breaking...all it takes is one snap of the fork to eat shit over your bars and get discouraged from the sport.

now you need a sealed headset 1 1/8 inch
i suggest a cane creek s-1, i have one, its boss, soooo smooth and there only $30
and you also need an oversized clamp for your bars unless you get the scooterzone hic integrated clamp
oh and if you love the sport you wouldnt stop after eating shit once, i've eaten shit plenty of times and i just get up and do it again
dont get discouraged
