my genius is showing.

well, i was just sitting around,looking at some spare parts when an idea occured. a threadless headset using razor headset parts. you can see what the headset looks like here...

yes, all it is is parts mixed from 2 stock razor headsets. here is a picture of what you need. ****X2!!!!***** make sure you have 2 of everything in this pic.

now, the reason i think this will work is because when your scs,hic shim is exerting pressure onto the upper bearing race it is getting everything alligned and it is keeping the headset down. and there is room to where the scs,hic,etc will not scrape on the cups. as seen in this pic....

i lastly conclude that all comments are welcome and wanted. i want to try this and im almost positive it should work. feel free to try it yourself and let us know how it goes if you try it! this is a very cost effective headset if it works! thanks a ton guys,

Tony Ebbert.

pretty sure this has been talked about before, and done before. if yours is different we need more info on it

@jon, thanks hagrid.
@connor, searched, nothing. lemmer know if you find something.

edit: also at connor, there is much to it, same bottom,just that the top is a bottom flipped :p

Ryan, I'm thinking that once an scs or something is installed it should stay tight because when the scs is exerting pressure on the crown races they will keep the headset aligned and tight.
Tom, thanks a ton man!
Vaughn,oh yeah,hahah, this thing prob isn't even in the same category as an fsa or cane creek.

You need a compression ring for it to work, but then it will. I've done this many times.

That black part is a compression ring I ripped from a junk bike

Sooo many people have done this, sorry, but it isn't new at all.

Yeah threaded bearings/cups blah has been done with compression/threadless.

Good idea for the crown race on top though.
