My opinon on the search feature

It sucks.

Firstly, The home search bar is on the homepage, yet the search bar on the forums isn't - what's that about?

Secondly, the CAPCHA (random) Questions are THE MOST AWKWARD QUESTIONS EVER!!!

How many letters are in the word 'Google'?

1. 'Google' isn't a word
2. You're asking for a QUANTITY! Meaning you could put either '6' or 'six'.

How many fingers are on someone's left hand?

1. why the specificity of the 'left' hand?
2. It's an awkward question anyway because people don't know whether to include the thumb as a 'finger'.
3. You're asking for a QUANTITY again! So people have to try '5', 'five', '4' and 'four' before they can get the stupid thing to work.
4. It's also possible not to have 5/five/4/four fingers on either hand.

Thirdly, there's a word limit, meaning anything you put in has to be more than 3 letters.

Meaning you can't search 'SCS', 'ICS', 'HIC', 'IHC' (Which is one of the main things people ask about, loose compression) and many other things, like Blunt 'AOS' Decks, 'RAD' Bars, and terms like 'v.1', 'v.2' and 'v.3'

Want people to use the search feature? Sort it out. I hope you guys agree.

You probably don't even know the first thing about this website. It's not that good how it is. Me building a website 'like this' isn't really relevant, either. Don't try talk over someone who's been on this website almost 5+years when you've been here like 4 months, and I also know for one that it didn't used to be like that.

Like Bennett, I jut google things, because the search bar, like you stated, stinks. I think it's easier to google stuff and I highly recommend it ecause any scooter problem googled, leads you to this site

Often in life I don't type out the word equivalent to numbers. I just type 6/5 or whatever. If the question was "how many days are there in a year?" would you be stupid enough to type "three hundred and sixty five"?

Who cares? seriously who cares if its right or left, does it make a big deal in your life? Does this go down with the huge questions like "what is the purpose of life, where do we go when we die, how was everything created, why does the SR search feature ask specifically for the left hand?"
Should we weed out the stupid people and put "digits?" instead of fingers? The thumb is a finger, it's a digit on your hand. Duh.

THE AVERAGE PERSON HAS 5 FINGERS PER HAND. IF you don't, well sorry to hear that. obviously that shouldn't even be a part of the rant.

There's a link for searching in the bar to the bottom left of your hand on every SR window you'd have open be it a thread, post, etc.

If you're doing oh so much searching... bookmark the search page? it's a very simple thing to do.
