Need some help shopping for my son...

Sorry guys if I posted this in the wrong location...


First off... nice forum. New here today, just looking for some expert advice.


I've watched my sons interests in scooters go from the cheapo razor scooters you get at walmart, to discussing things I have no idea what he is talking about. I've tried to search around, and find information on quality brands/manufacturers... but I'm getting kind of lost. I never realized you could pay over $500 for a tiny kick scooter... but apparently you can. :D


So... I'm hoping to get some advice on where/what I should consider buying to make my sons Christmas that much better. I don't have $500 to spend... but could probably go as high as $300.

300$? The best in my opinion for that price is an MGP end of days and right now we have MGP Nitro End of day's for sale at my local for 240$ instead of the Usual 300$ I suggest buying that and getting a sheet of grip tape because the one that comes on it is horrible. If you buy it from us and order it through the phone if your far away from connecticut we will happily ship it to you.

This is the best complete that you can buy him for 300. It will last him a long time. Don't give into the MGP scooters or Fuzion or Shaun White or Blunt/Envy or District. Those companies only popped up because of the money involved in scootering. Razor is much better quality than all of those scooters and made the first freestyle scooter in the US.

I don't really like the company itself but honestly the EOD is a good complete for a beginer and for 240$ I would get it if I didn't already have a complete.
It's the same thing for District. There a shit brand but apparently the v2i's are good, Same goes for this.

Only downside, is that it doesn't look like I can get it before Christmas...

Ask him what parts he wants and get them for him. Do you want your son to be suprised and content, or not suprised, and super pumped?

You make a good point...

The problem is he needs everything, so I figured a "complete" would be best. Then as he progresses... build from there.

I'm going to contact the seller of that green and white razor, and see if he'll get it to me asap.

I've ridden the integrated one and the standard one, and they're actually not that bad. They feel much better than a mgp.

yeah I would try to get that or find another site that has it for a similar price, It is really the best scooter you can get for that price.

If there is no way you can get it by christmas and you need it by then, then you should look into these. http://www.shopmothership.com/products/envy-prodigy-complete They are not as nice, but they are cheaper, and easier to upgrade.

Are those the new completes or are those new lower end models? I still think the MGP EOD is the best for 240$
