New deck design

I am drawing up a deck on SolidWorks 2012. This Deck, if it is to ever to get machined, will be an upside-down vertx/lucky deck with a deck plate.

This is as far as I got until i realized i needed input from you guys!

HeadTube: welded on or bolted on like Lucky/Vertx?
DeckPlate: Welded on or interchangeable?
Bottom: Solid or milled out in center like TSI flight?

Please post if you have ANY questions/suggestions

You aren't going to want to weld anything on the deck. That's the beauty of machined decks. It's going to add more expenses on to an already expensive deck, so that answers the first two questions.
And last, DO NOT mill out the bottom. The point of having the deck made in an upside-down fashion like this is to have more material on the bottom. You can mill out plenty of things on the deckplate.
As to the design itself, you're still going to need a LOT of things, but it's a decent rough outline. Keep in mind, you are going to want to take out material where it is not needed, and add it where it is needed (dropouts, base of headtube)
Also, don't make the strong points very strong, and don't make the weak points very weak. A nice equilibrium between the two will add to a more even distribution of shock, and help more of it be absorbed into the deck.
Just some pointers.

Yeah dude thanks! I will do several more outlines but I'm stumped on the head tube mount because vertx has a patent coming in :/

looks good but drop outs will break try to make so it doesnt go directly into drop outs like that even it out more

The dropouts are over 1/3 of an inch thick! And thanks Billie and R-ma I'm trying to get the dimensions for TDI now

edit: how are these dropouts?

You have a few things in there that are adding weight for no reason.
You aren't going to want TDI headtube mounts on a milled deck, it's very expensive to mill in that fashion.
Your best bet would to be making one similar to VertX decks. But that would require you to redesign the whole front end.
I guess you are getting a little closer, but to be honest, you still have so much more to do. So don't just go and get one of these milled.
If you are only making one for yourself, you don't need to worry about VertX's patents. If you are planning on having them made and sold, you are going to need some unique ideas.

i think you should stick with this idea and cut the drop outs like a distict deck so you can still run pegs if you wanted to
