New fork idea!!!

yes. it slides up to the top of the forktube and it fits in kinda like a puzzle piece

i like it but wat keeps the star nut up so u can thread the bolt in? before the bolt is in it would just fall out i think

haha yeah you would have to do it kinda upside down... we could figure it out pretty easily

I think it would greatly weaken the fork, and the little piece on the starnut that catches on the indentation would break very easily. Then you'd be fucked.

Out of curiosity, why do you want the starnut to be removable?
Doesn't someone make a fork with integrated starnuts?
What I would like to do is just weld a nut to the inside Of the fork and never deal with a starnut again.

LOL because some people want to use ICS... and it doesnt have to be the ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE FORK TUBE, just like 1.5 - 2 inches.
