i dont have that kinda cash. plus i already have a gateway. it has lasted 7 years, and got 1/2 a gallon of ice tea spilt on it. the hard drive is going bad. cause of that. but i want a mac but i cant aford it =[. i need a new one in a month. and i have no cash

Really depends, if you treat a PC right, it'll last forever. However, a Mac laptop is a great investment if you're willing to throw down. It'll last real long and preform damn well, but the price might throw you off.

i just recently got the gateway fx series laptop, and the features are amazing for the price, its a 1300$ laptop and i got it for 900$, if your looking for a decent media laptop with simular specifications as a nice desktop, u should def look into it i think they sell it on best buy,

You can get dell laptops pretty cheap. If you take care of them they will last you a long time. I had mine for 4 years but i treated it like shit and messed up the charger port, which i can replace for $150 but i dont think its worth it.

Ya I agree but if you get a pc and do stuff like limewire and torrents and stuff they get slow really fast like my lasy pc, for example got really slow and kept freezing after like a year but I guess of your careful with what you are doing it will be fine
