no they dont even touch the deck, its basically a piece of metal slapped on. i recomend decksavers, im running a snapped deck with them on, and i was riding stairs and stuff and it is holding up with no problems. well worth the moeny i can tell you that

theyre perfect, they are extremely light and are very fresh, umm theyre alu i think not too sure haha but yeh theyre worth the money (Y)

mutts reinforcments do not work atall, numerous kids at wadalba have them and basically all they do is sit on the side of your deck, they dont help it from cracking or braking at all. but if you want an expensive piece of box meatl to learn 50 50 satlls on, go crazy
