New Parts for a Newb- Advice?

So I've been scootering for a while. I have a razor pro, it's bolted, and the wheels are chunky now. I'm thinking about possibly upgrading some parts, but I'm not sure if I'm ready. My skill level is I've got tailwhips very clean on and off ramps (I've had them forever), 360s clean, on and off ramps, I've landed one double whip flyout (almost there on a plastic kicker), I can barspin clean, ride fakie pretty well, do things like tailwhips to crossfoot and crossfoot to tailwhip, and also I can occasionaly do a sketchy 180 barspin (they're actually clean, but I go real slow). Ok. I just wrote way to much. Back on topic. I've been thinking about getting some new wheels, bars, headset, and fork. I'm not sure I need them all (wheels definatly though). Do you think I'm ready? I'd be upgrading to a s1 headset, rad OG bars, and rad fork. Thanks.:)

A good place to start is to get some high rebound Yaks (red ones) and hot glue them. In my opinion stock headsets are really fast, whereas aftermarkets are really solid, so it's your choice. Stock forks are all you really need for now (reinforced of course), and you can bolt wider bars to your stock bars, which will also be as light if not lighter than custom bars.

Thanks for the reply. I'm probably going to do that for wheels. And about the fork- I'm not sure. I know how to reinforce the fork, but I"ve already bent one fork and it was on the dropouts, not the actuall tube. Also, for the bars, I'm on the line about that too. What you said sounds like a good idea. I'm not sure if I'm definatly doing that though, because I'm pretty much looking for a cleaner look with a single one peice fork. But i guess that I"m might do what you said instead. For the headsets- I think I'll go w/ an aftermarket now. Because the headset I have is fast enough, but I'm really just looking for a sturdier headset on acount of the fact that The heaset I'm using is always messing up. Thanks for the advice.

Cheap 1 pieces like proto retros
good cheap new headset, (if you even need it, but probably not) would be FSA pig. Or SARS headset if you can get one.
Yak wheels are good when hot glued, other hyper wheels (though hard to find) like agent orange and green machine wheels are good too.
Just get what you need

And slackmachine if you have extra parts laying around from other scooters take the handle bar tube cut it down to like 1ft-1.5ft and shove it in the middle of your fork tube it will make it wayy stronger

you dont need new aftermarket parts unless you are breaking stock parts or you feel they are seriously holding you back. most aftermarket parts are much heavier than stock, so it will actually make learning tricks harder. also if you have a lot of expensive parts you dont need you dont look cooler, you look tool-er.

maybe just get new wheels/bearings to start, not metalcores though.

Ye, Definately 110/110mm Red & Blue YAKS.
If you want a bit more speed mabye some bearings.
Stocks are great especailly if you clean em properly

ye. BYE.

Ok. I'm going to get new bars, probably a new headset, and I'm on the edge for a fork. For wheels I'll probably get agent oranges. And to mat- that's why I'm not doing anything like getting a new brake, reinforcements on the deck, and some other stuff. I'm thinking about replacing bars becuase I ride bikes and I think I might be a little bit more comfortable with wider bars. The headset I have now is always screwwing up and that's why I"m looking for another. The fork I have now, well, I've already bent my first pro fork and I'm riding another bent old a one now. Thanks for the advice everyone!

Couple of questions-
1. Don't I need compression for a threadless heaset and threadless bars (I know, all bars are threadless until you thread them, blah blah blah)
2. what compression should I get? I've only seen rad, inward, and proto before.
3. are old a forks ok? Or no.
4. SHOULD I GET A NEW FORK?
5. If I stay w/ a stock fork can I get a threadless fork in the future and put it on, or will the threaded bars mess it up.
Thanks.

I bought my one peices off ebay and they are really strong and solid
oh by the way they were $50
but there are some that are $25 my friend bought them but im not sure if they are very strong

1. NO and bars don't get threaded, on stock, theres a impression left from tightening ur clamp
2. Inverted is OK and fairly cheap (get them at the SR store)
3. There ok, as long as u reinforce them (This mens you won't need a compression system or thread less headset)
4. Get a new fork when you brake ur stock (its a good idea to reinforce them to make them last longer
5. You will need a thread less headset if you get a thread less fork, and NO (refer to question 1)

I hope i help, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong :)
