you are not a very non - unsmart person are you? maybe its carbon fiber to save weight because the deck is made of steel, therefore probably weighs more than a district to begin with????? theres no reason to add more weight using metal for the deckplate when you can get away with using a light ass material...

This thread is getting ridiculous. To the thread starter, you have skills when it comes to building frames, but if you are going to make a scooter make it like your bike frames, simple without all the extra jazz.
