In my opinion, the brands name "VertX" doesn't work AT ALL.
Most companies in scooter either have SICK products with a rubbish logo, or rubbish products that have the full brand image to try 'back it up'.
I don't wanna be skeptical, but I think they would really benefit with a new name.

Unfortunately I doubt they'll want to do anything drastic such as changing their name, since that would involve:
- Change their website domain name
- Change all the branding, such as
- on their website
- on their Facebook page
- on their Team T-shirts
- on their products (if there's any branding of the product)
- Re-register the business under the new name (or whatever they have to do)
- Raise publicity about the name change so that people are aware.
- Redo all advertising
- Tell every retailer about the name change
etc etc.

I can honestly say that companies won't want a 3d logo that looks like it was made for a 0-13 Gamebattles team.
