hahaha no.
Vertx made parts for a slew of companies, as an OEM producer kind of. Then they decided that all those companies could go fuck themselves and started selling parts themselves so they could cut out the middle man and sell things for cheaper.
No they didn't. You know the story Parrish you little rat, you just won't tell it because you have a grudge against Vertx, even though they gave you a whole free scooter. For a start, they only made parts for Lucky, so the bold statement is bullshit.
The owners of Vertx, Karl and Paul, were originally the owners of a fabrications company, that where approached by Lucky after Lucky had a failed attempt at making some forks. Lucky asked the two guys to design and make forks, to be sold under Lucky's name. Those SMX forks everyone rides because they are trendy? They were designed by Vertx, not Lucky. Now eventually, there was a rise in the price of materials that Karl and Paul used, and Lucky were not happy with this, even thought it was no fault of Karl/Paul's. So Lucky decided to take the designs that Karl and Paul had come up with, and get them made by another company. Thats right, they weren't even their own designs. Lucky basically stole the designs and got them made cheaper.
After this, Karl and Paul set up their own Scooter company (Vertx) and carried on making THEIR own product under the new name, and at a cheaper price.
And before anyone cuts in with the bullshit of "But jesse ikedah designed SMX", he didn't, he asked for some forks in a bmx style, and so Karl/Paul designed the SMX.
Stop bringing this up.
