It would all work together, no slits in your bars is right. You should still trade me, you could have 2 brand new setups:D

rob was just stating that HIC oversized bars are unnecesary, but will still work. a proto scs is oversize primarily for compatibility with aluminium bars, not oversized steel. so really, you are making the setup a tiny mount hevier than it needs to be. but i think oversized bars look nicer anyway

it should almost definately work. but i thought phorx are too short for v2is?? anyone care to confirm?

phorx are too short for v2is. but they work with v2s. and when you use hic bars in the scs make sure to take the shim inside the scs out becuase they wont fit if you dont

i am suprised no one mentioned this but there is a shim in your scs, little alu thing with a slit, you must pull that out before you put your bars in

My brother rides phorx on his v2i right now and has been for a month.

Oversized bars aren't any heavier than standard. They are the same thickness of steel, just with a very slightly larger diameter. The difference in weight is minimal, if not nothing at all.

So my friend instructed me to buy parts to build my own scoot right

and I did.

now I'm not sure if these will even fit together and I'm kind of freaking out because I just blew like, $500 on parts

Lucky Pry Bars oversized w/ HIC (bars cut 2" shorter with no slit)
District V2 Deck
Proto SCS
Phoenix Phorx 1/8" Threadless
FSA Pig Headset

will these fit together? thanks guys.

Yes it will work but the confoooosion comes from the fact that you have stated 2 types of compression:

You can use either one but not both at the same time

HIC= Hidden Internal Compression
SCS= Standard Compression System

Take a look here

It works, it's just kinda dumb. Might make your deck break easier because the HIC bars are much more rigid than standard.

No, I was stating that it's stupidly unnecessary to have an SCS with HIC bars.

^ aluminum and if you want a super beefy setup?

Id say if ur gonna go scs with chromo bars then get a baby scs with 1-1/4 bars.

See buying the more spendy hic just to buy the huge scs and not use the hic is kind of a roundabout waste of cash when a lighter setup could be had at the same price.

Lol i've been riding pry bars in my SCS fro about 5 months, I know Jon from Lucky did for a long time also, when I met him back at epic awhile back last year he was riding raw prys with a proto SCS, oversized bars work perfectly fine in SCS, and yeah I ride a phorx with my v2i and they are wierd, I had to put in a extra starnut underneath my SCS cap to make it work otherwise it was too tight, now it rattles a bit but oh well...

Thank you.

I'd buy HIC bars first, then if/maybe/god forbid the slit breaks, buy an SCS instead of new bars.

Instead of wasting the HIC on SCS.
