NOT a diagonal rock n' roll like scooter kids like to call them. That is just a shitty rock n' roll. A salad is when you do a 5-0 and turn it diagonally. If we are going to use skate trick names we should do it properly. Sorry for this bitchy thread but it bothers me.

If you have decent balance you could hold it on a round rail, but it's still a legit and different grind even if you can't hold it for a long period of time

I don't see how you could do it without slipping unless you have pegs. But then it's an ice pick.

You could do it but it would be on the tip of the peg. I thought it was a over rotated smith stall on a quarter

I thought about this and tried it. i just end up with some goofy 5-0s and bails but it could be kinda lean away from the box or rail, tweaking it to the side of the rail/box slips out right away

I used to do my ice picks like that naturally back when I used to ride pegs. If you had the right deck you could do it with 5-0s.

I've only seen people stall like that with pegs, never actually grinding.

I always thought a salad on a scoot was a just a smith on the side of the deck instead of the dropouts. Kinda like how a willy is just a feeble not on the dropouts
