Well chances are you're gonna be the only one riding it, so make it so its comfortable for YOU.

Browse through the BROKEN SCOOTER thread and take note of what went wrong with everyone's decks so you know which areas are important to make as strong as possible.

yeah good idea, but i might sell them so i guess i should have a base design and change things as people want them

Well, what it looks like shouldn't be the main factor, whether it works or not is the important thing.

yep when i went into designing my deck (still in the works) i looked around for what people wanted to see in decks and what mods they do to decks to make them stronger and better lasting. so just look around, read stuff ppl have to say. make it strong but not super heavy is one main key i have learned.

i have learned that drop outs in the back are the most important.. so make them thick.. and for the front.. one piece has to have some supports in the middle of the deck not just welded on the top

o i have another idea for my head tube set up. the head tube is going to slide into a sleeve and then u just bolt it. but im thinking about designing a head tube, 1 piece deck.

same dimensions as a pro model except abut 10mm wider make it as clean looking as possible around the headtube area (if its one piece) dropouts you can stand on and dont make the deck a rectangle give it some character

Decks don't have flangs, BMX grips do.

And seriously, about the measurements - just get a ruler and measure yourself, please.
