Ordered New Parts, Can't Seem to Make it Work

Hey everyone here is a list of my scooter parts. The problem is that the new fork that I got is longer then my older one, and I think the neck of my deck is to short. I have
District ST-1 Bars (star nut inside)
MGP deck (from like 2011)
Razer scooter headset and fork

So what I am trying to do is make my new District FK-2 fork work with this, but the fork can never attach to the star nut because it never reaches it. I tried pushing the star nut further into the bars and that didn't work. Do I just need to get a whole new deck over all? Or is there some type of headset or spacer that would take up the extra room?

It might be that th compression bolt is either too long or too short

Not sure what the difference is between IHC or ICS, but I think the problem is that like someone said the fork is incredibly long which is why I thought I should get a new deck. I really don't want to drop 70$ on a 4 bolt clamp when I already have a 3 bolt clamp, i rather put that money to a new headset or deck if that is what it has to be. I'm just tired of my bars coming loose every time I ride

If you're forks are too long, just cut them. although it shouldn't be a problem. I think I know the problem, you can't use a threaded headset with a threadless compression, well you can but with the sacrifice of your headset always being loose. Just get a new threadless headset.

But if I cut my fork then I loose the ability to attach it to the star nut in my bars. I think my problem is that the neck of my scooter is only 3 inches, where as most are longer I would assume? My deck is roughly 4+ years old so I would imagine things have changed. I know I need to get a new headset too, could you recommend a good one that will work with my District ST-1 bars and District FK-2 fork?

Trying to buy parts to fix this scooter is ridiculous. I already dropped 145$ on bars, fork, and wheels and really don' want to drop another 150$ + on a deck and headset. Should I just buy a new complete scooter? If so what should I get? I was trying to just get a district deck and headset to match the bars and forks but ordering parts in the U.S. is hard as shit!

Maybe. And ordering scooter parts in the U.S is hard for you? The U.S has a massive concentration of scooter shops. Give me your state and city and maybe I can find one close to you.

If I were you I'd just get a complete, what you should get depends on your size and style, an envy, grit, or mgp would be for littler kids (cheap) While something like a phoenix, crisp, lucky, or a district. Would be for medium weight (slightly more expensive) If you want something that will last a while, you will have to spend more money on miscellaneous parts to build up the right scooter for you. The weight chart might not be right to some people, if so state your opinion, anything helps.

I live in Burlington VT, there is nothing but skate shops here. However you will see one place that comes up saying Talent Skate shop, they sell maybe 6 different complete, no parts, and have no scooter knowledge. They don't even have allen keys or wrenches to put shit together.

Thanks for the code, but when I tried to place my order the website just froze, I was going to call in my order. But not only that the other thing that annoys me is that everything that I want is always out of stock
