Oversized Aluminum Bars On HIC?

My friend is wondering if this can work? Hes using batwings but hates the backsweep, so the only bars he has is some oversized razor bars that are aluminum.

The inner diamiter of them is bigger so it won't fit over hic. Phase 2 bars will tho

he can do funny things to the bar, like grinding the inner diameter to make it fit HIC(not all the way up, just ~11cm is enough), but aluminium won't live long being that thin..unless he makes the HIC shim longer
