^do that^ but also lightly sand the layers of primer with some fine grit (i use 2000 grit) sandpaper (dry sanding works but wet sanding is recomended for metal) and it gives it a more adhesive surface to bond to. if you do wet sand make sure you use primer that says wet sanding is okay and trust me it makes the paint stick a lot better.

primer paint the laquer...... that always does it for me... are you laquering and polishing after.. takes a little loger but lasts for aages

anodising is a chemical change so it won't scratch off its not like a layer of paint

hence the fact that anodised bolts don't scratch off their colour when you tighten them

yes it does scratch off and ive never heard of anodized bolts because they would have to be aluminum since you can only anodize aluminum. and aluminum is too weak to use for bolts. you're probably thinking of grade 8 or certain coated bolts (when one metal is coated with or plated onto another usually to resistance to rust)

you rust the outer layer, then you change the chemical, but it only changes like .0004 of an inch of the aluminum on the outer layer....
once you scratch that much off itl'l come off.
its what they use for paintball guns.
