Painting an ultra pro?

so i just bought my first real legit scooter. its the razor ultra pro. i really want to paint it white and get some nice looking accent color parts. my question was, if i were to paint it white would i have to sandblast the silver off of it first? or should i just prime over it and paint it up? thanks guys

i have the ultra pro too and i painted mine blue.
i didnt sand blast. i just lightly sanded it down.
it came out great, just the normal scratches and chips.

the "silver" is chrome which i dont think you can sandblast off

The "silver" is aluminum, not chrome.
The only piece that is chrome plated is the brake
