they're like x grips i think. thats an okay choice but if you want to spend the dough on a nice handle go for that ez handle. that is if you have the money. but if you're on a budget id salvage the mount off an xgrip and make one alike it out of pvc. then just fasten the mount on. and go. i hate the feel of x grips on dslrs, just no balance

If you don't know what you're talking about, stay out of the thread. DSLRs are nothing like "traditional/standard" video cameras.

And a camcaddie is similar to an X-grip but made of metal. It's heavier, therefore more stable and easier to film steady with.

don't waste your money on a new camera, until you know a lot about filming, and really get into it, I've seen one edit from you with the camera that you have now which puts out actually pretty good quality, next thing you know you bought this 1k+ setup, and your hardly filming

micro 4/3 (what panasonics run on) to my understanding have a bigger chip than the cmos chip on canon dslrs which i think is only 1/3. that means better quality and sharper image. I myself am in this debate and i am getting a gh2 hopefully if this guy will trade.

Wrong. Canon's APS-C Crop is wayy bigger than 1/3". I don't remember the exact numbers, but the Gh2 crop is 2x while the APS-C is only 1.6 I believe.

The GH2 is capable of producing a higher bitrate with a hack. That's why it can produce "clearer" footage.

Get the Gh2 dude, I have one and I love it. You can adapt any glass to it, and it's just an overall great camera. Getting an external monitor or LCDVF for it is a must though.
