Pegs?

Ive been riding pegs for a while now... About 5-6 months. BMX pegs are retarded and way to heavy/bulky/out of proportion. Your gonna need a B axle (and a front axle if you want front and back...Or if you have an Old A, just the normal short axles), a bar clamp blot (or 2), 5/8 Socket that comes in ratchet sets (again 2 for both sides if you want... but it dosent have to be exactly 5/8, I have one 5/8 and a slighy bigger one)

1st look inside and if theres rubber rip it out. Then make sure the bar clamp bolt fits nicly (if you have bigger then 5/8 then you might need a spacer)

Then put the bar clamp bolt in the 5/8 socket so the threads come out of were you would put a ratchet (I recomend using a long ass allen key or use the handle side of one and pliers). Screw the bar clamp bolt into the axle and make sure its tight as hell. Do the some for front.

Am I the only one that runs pegs like 24/7?

EDIT: A second, a bit more ghetto way (ONLY FOR OLD A) is to have 2 B axles and put them in with bar clamp bolts but before you screw it on use bearings/spacers from dropouts of Bs/New A's then tighen it up. I dont like that way becuase no matter how tight you have them, you wheel will still jiggle. But make sure you dont use to meny bearings/spacers becuase your wheel falling off in a icepick is not fun. 6 Bearings is enough.

Too much work? Sorry if it seems that way but its not. There one of the most fun things you can do.

And thats cool Sean, I was starting to think I was the only one

I used to ride with a sketchy peg made of a B axle + bearings. Got Ice pick stalls on the quater pipes which felt awesome since its on this peg like 2 inches long. But yeah DV8 there pretty fun and well worth having a shot at.

Best peg's I've tried to date were the spark plug sockets. Go to a 99c store and they're bound to have them. Get two, about 2-3 inches long. Depending on the socket the screw may not reach to the axle, so you can get a screw from a head clamp (clamps the head tube to the fork threads) and replace the stock axle screw. Every now and again the screw on the fork may bend, but just don't slam down into grinds and you should be okay.

EDIT: I use mine quite often from time to time and they have lasted me years before they started to ware through.

be careful with pegs! it can bend the fork if you're going mad on it. My friend jandiv bent the fork on the side, a little bit, it's not really good so, but he was doing nose tap to whip with that...
