PETITION! Santa Monica Skatepark!!!

You guys have it all wrong. Why do we get scooters in skateparks as a whole. I've been thinking about writing to the governer to allow scooters in every skatepark in California. Look at skateboarding and rollerblades. Ever been to a skatepark that doesn't allow either? Lets get scooters in that category. Can it be done? Yes. Theres more to it than just silling peitions and forums. Well thats my 2 cents

haha thats like your first post in a year but true i think it just has to get accepted as more of a sport than just little kids riding toys around thats what skateboarding used to be considered a little kids toy but then eventual;ly it got accepted its not gonna happen overnight but people will slowly start accepting scooters like i went to this vans park and the owner was like ya i guess you can ride that looks like a little to old for one of those toys though..... and then i did a double whip flat and he said whoa ur pretty serious never seen anything like it so i think if there is more coverage like all these compettitions coming up its gonna start to get accepted after about 45 years skateboarding isnt really acepted into the definition of a perfect society so just think how long its gonna take scooters just never do antyhing bad to discourage the sport or give a bad name to it i try to get people to ride scooters like little kids i dont care if they suck they will get good and support the sport we just need more participation and coverage and the sport would take off there should be more coverage soon thanks to brian boston and his magazine ideas and the people who arer organazing scooter compettititons should contact the local press i mean they have nothing better to write about so we can get the word out there ok this is very long and boring but i think i have some good ideas anyway..THE END

damn... that was like essay status right there... thanks for all your support. I still havent heard anything from any of the people I talked to... time for another round of emails..... (me and like 15 other people all send emails to these people with somewhat the same message... its the only way they respond)

yea it will take forever to go around city to city to get them allowed..

idk what the gov is gonna to but I will try and do what i can to help..
