Phoenix Phorx on MGP..?

I just got my Phoenix phorx, and i can't seem to get it to fit.. i have an MGP end of days its basicly stock. how can i get the fork on ?

this is because Mgps have an inch shorter headtube than most decks. what type of compression are you trying to run.
 
thanks that helped alittle. i still dont get how its supposed to work though. The MGP fork is threaded inside and the phoenix phorx is the all one piece and is also smaller, so the metal piece that fits over the MGP fork does not fit the phoenix one.

the pheonix fork is also internally threaded but instead you slide a top cap over the shim and thread a bolt into the fork.

mgp's come with internally threaded forks and phoenixes dont have the same type of internal thread. to install you'll need a new topcap[ and compression bolt. you should be able to get one from a bike shop for like $5
 
I got the top cap and bolt. I had to cut the metal piece that was for the Mgp fork to work with the Phoenix fork. Also had to sand down some stuff but it eventually went on.. Solid as ever now.
