Pinned forks?

I know Im gona sound like a compleat retard..But how do you pin forks? sorry , i tryed serching and didnt work

For a fork like a french id or a district where the fork tube has been glued to the legs, you can drill a hole throug the part [sideways] where the tube is glued to the legs, and then put a bolt through the hole to make the fork stronger. But you are better off buying a fork that is not glued together such as a phoenix or a proto etc...
