not really sure if it would work, but try maybe filing down a 1 1/8" starnut if you cant find a 1"
also I dont think they would sell 1" starnuts anyways, the only bikes ive seen with 1" forktubes are threaded ones that are really old.

Also idk if it was smart to file down your forktube, its aluminum and theres a reason its thick.

well, i WILL get a starnut in there some how!
and what i dont get it is,
me and all my freinds who ordered lucky SMX forks ordered the starnut UNINSTALLED and they installed it! every time!

yeah derek, ive seen most of the lucky team with baby scs and smx forks, even jon runs it, he doesnt use spacers. there is a way, promise. dont trip. if it comes down to it, just run what rop was saying, i know how and have the kind of bolt you need.

drill the fork tube with a giant drill bit just enough till your star nut goes it id do this after i tryed all the other methods though

Im serious Zach. If they were to drill it right, they'd have enough wall thickness to be not too weak and probably have a good lip that would keep the starnut from going down too much.

srsly

Get a large enough bolt that goes up and through the top of the fork into the SCS above the lip in the SCS, and get a washer that is the same size as the lip in the SCS and just use a nut to tighten it

kinda like ICS but not

This, or get the bike shop to have a go at it.
