i find it when its cut you cant damage your brake bolt as if the scooter is placed upside down the brake dosent hit the floor so if you bail and your scooter land upside down the brake is untouched and no bent bolts.

in my opinion when you cut it nicely and when it isnt sticking straight up and down it gives your scooter a really clean look. kinda like this.
