Yeah i dont think many people plan on dropping there camera gear, You should get a filter just incase.

I got myself banned.
UV filter can make your pictures look better in sunny situations. It also can protect the insides of your camera from UV rays.

If you were just starting off at photography why would you get a heaps expensive camera get a cheap one learn all the features than upgrade as you get better but idk its your choice
