sd card is the way to go I say, easy to get from your cam to computer, not going to brake one, don't need to replace them unless they break, u could get around the same amount of room buying sd cards with the extra money you paid for the hard drive, and hard drives as Brian said are dodgy and chunky. I have a jvc ms120, its not hd but its all right quality, works with sony vegas and has a double sd card slot and it was $340
