for those of you that say its mean and messed up.

heres where i prove you wrong.

we need meat to live,
most of us eat it,
why is it wrong if we get it from a store? or get it ourselfs?
either way a animale still dies.
Before stores and all that, do you think no one ate meat?
no they went out and hunted it themselfs.

and most hunters dont just go out to kill whatever they can.
i am part of a hunting organization, i spend $100's every year for wetlands where waterfowl can live and not be hunted there.
http://www.ducks.org/
there website^.

Hunting for me and alot of other people is for the experience,
cause of hunting, ive learned alot about guns and being out in the wild.
ive got to speand ALOT of time with my dad.
good times too, theres been TONS of times when we go out and not get one thing
but still have a hell of a great dam time.
so people who think hunters are just people who go out and kill anything, your wrong.

discuss.

EDIT-theres alot more to hunting then the day u go out and hunt,
theres pre-season, u get all excited and go scouting for animals,
theres the night before where u buy food and stuff and again get excited
then theres the hunt, then after the hunt, going home with family/friends sometimes, cleaning what u killed then cooking it.
i know a 45 year old guy i go hunting with, and he cant sleep the night before he goes hunting, cause hes so exicted.. 45?
you cant tell me that isnt legit, a 45 year old guy not sleeping the night before cause hes excited.

First off, although you need some meat to live, you don't need very much. You can live completely as a vegetarian and only eat one ounce of meat a week and be perfectly fine for your entire life. So that's my point for that arguement.

The main reason I think it's bad is because I would never kill anything more than like, a bug, and I haven't. I think it's wrong just killing the animal, what gives you the right to take its life? Cause the bible says so? A life is a life, it doesn't matter if it's a person or an elephant or a rat, it's still a live and it has the right to live.

I guess this I'm being somewhat hypocritical being as a do eat meat, which is indirectly me killing an animal, but I try to cut back on that. If I could go solely vegetarian (with the said one ounce of meat) I would, but the fact is that it's not easy. Most food places don't have main meals that are vegetarian, which makes it hard. If more places had more vegetarian meals, I would eat them more often. I'm just saying that even though I do eat meat, it's with regret that I had to take a life to do so.

Real talk.

I used to think a lot differently about hunting, until i read some of Charles and Tommys posts in the past. Theyre not killing to kill. They dont simply shoot something, take a picture of it, and leave it on the ground...and find something else that moves to shoot. Although i find it hard for me to watch an animal die out of cruelty, thats not whats going on in MOST cases of hunting. Theyre killing something, yes. But theyre not killing without a cause or wasting what they kill.

People tell them to go out and buy the meat instead of go hunt it. Why should they? When you eat something you want it fresh right, cause it tastes better? Well thats what theyre doing. Theyre removing the middle man. So yea, i really dont got all that much of a problem with Hunting anymore. Id prolly even go out with Charles or Tommy if i had the chance, not saying id shoot, but id still wanna come out.

1st bold: There's that respect, thanks.

2nd bold: As I said, I don't feel it's right to kill animals, and sure I don't think about it every single time, but it's something that I'd like to do without. Eating meat, that is.

3rd bold: Yeah, an animal is gonna die, but that's drastically less then eating meat every single day. You can never be 100% something, cause there's always one little thing, but if you can take it down a bunch then that would be great.

1st- its true, and if u want me to make another thread to discuss it i will

2nd-okay i understand

3rd, again i understand, so you dont think hunting in general is wrong? you just want there to be less of it
(im trying to be legit, not like a smartass)

If there could be no hunting, I would obviously want that. If no animals had to be killed for no reason by humans, i.e. if we could live solely off of plants, then that would be awesome. But the fact is that we can't, at least not healthily, so there has to be some killing of animals, might as well be as little as possible.

there is nothing wrong with hunting for food, in fact its better to do it yourself than have some factory do it in a much more horrible way.

but hunting for anything other than food is extremely fucked up.

i 100percent with you.
i would never go out to kill things for no reason, i do not support people that do that.
