Do you think you will ever get bored of scootering someday and quit because you start to think its gay and that you should get a real profession. I think most of us will just end up like that. I think Its just natural to quit a sport sometime. Yes, some of us will integrate scooters in there life in some sort of contribution, like a company, or some sort of internet scootering community (...) But those are the ones who care for the sport and really see a future in it. Not many of us, I think are willing to do that much.

right now i a a little sad about scootering because i can't scooter at all and the closest indoor park is talent.(same as bk's winter mini 2)
but every time i get set to go there they won't let me in because to much bikers. it's happened 3 times and im getting real down on scootering
i was thinking about it today matter of fact. plus when i seem to get nowhere with a trick i have been trying to learn i get down and consider finding
a new sport.

i honestly dont think i will ever QUIT the sport in general. I'm obviously going to have to stop riding someday, most likely once i either get into(i doubt it) college or get out of it. I dont really know though, considering that i dont know the future, but what i have been WANTING to do since 9th grade, is to get a good paying job career, and than i will have a side "job" (more of enjoyment than work), for riding scooters for a team. I doubt ill ever get into the scooter designing business, or filming. I do think i could get into marketing though. But yea... before any of this, scooters have to blow up again.

Well... Scooter riding brings me a lot of fun. I finally found something, that suits me 100%. Thats a lot funnier than sk8ing or rollerblading or anything else... The only minus is that my country is not ready for this sport. Still, I like riding so much, that I even don't care about the conditions. And I want to make scooter riding more popular in Russia. But I am weak for this, I need some help... At least I try... I don't think I will quit!

im not going to quit now but i want to have a life when im older and i want a job to get money

I will defenetly never forget scootering though

eventually i think i will quit when i get older. i might move to bmx again, but as of right now i love this sport and i love everything about it. i cant get enough of it. the only thing im afraid of is love it to much right now and ill get sick of it.

Nah, I will never make a statement that "I quit". Right now Im semi motivated to ride, mainly with the lack of spots and people to ride and the fact that Im sore for up to three days after a good session. That doesn't stop me from riding once a week though, unless the weather is bad. Even if I won't have no time to ride for some time (which is unlikely cause Im an extremely lazy person which makes me good at limiting the time I have to spend for learning, work, etc), the longer I won't be able to ride the more will I want to ride my scooter.
If anything goes well Ill try to start with making Heavy Metal Scooter parts, I even think about studying some kind of material or construction engineering, which would give me some proper knowledge of how to make a durable scooter. Even if I treated scootering only in an economical way, this would be good for me, as scooters are a growing market with huge potential, and even right now there is an empty market niche when it comes to rider owned scooter companies.

Ok, whoever answered "no" is stupid unless you plan to make a living off of scooters and then you'd be living in a cardboard box in your local ghetto. As you get older you will most likely forget about it. As with most other sports of the same nature - do you see a lot of 30-40+ year old pro bmxers or skateboarders anywhere?

Seriously I would pretty much have nothing else to do if I quit. And I dont think I will anytime soon. Just working on a scooter is fun enough for me.

I don't see myself ever leaving the sport and stopping paying attention to it. I'll always check these forums for new and stuff. Like Matt, i don't think i'll get into scooter design or filming, but probably like marketing. eventually I want to be a journalist. I would love to someday make and run a real scooter magazine company. And i'll always have a scoot laying around, modding it and such, waiting for a good day to show my kids (if i have any) the ropes of scooters.

im never gonna make a bold statement say i quit. i may just end up riding very rarely but when someone says they quit that means they will NEVER ride again which sounds retarded to me. i dont plan on slowing down my scooter riding anytime soon.
