iv been working on deck designs for partical scooters for the past month or so, and im finally happy with one design. it weighs in at around 3 1/2 pounds including the headtube. I was wondering if you guys think this is too heavy, i could make it lighter, but at the same time i would be making it weaker. so the question is weather you prefer strength or weight. oh and what is the internal diameter of a head tube? i measured but i want to be sure. Thanks

no i think its more like 2 lbs for a stock pro, and does anyone know the diameter of a head tube? cause i need to know.

I rode like a 10 pound deck, the first one I made and I learned to ride it, you can forget about double whipping that flat (even though Ive done dubwhips off a curb on it). Now I have some experience so a smart design can make you a strong deck which isn't too heavy either. I'd say that a 4 to 5 pound deck should be strong enough, don't know if I won't end up making an even lighter one when I finally get around to make the aluminum headtube and neck.
